Frequently asked questions

Is recommondo GDPR and EU AI Act compliant?

The recommondo platform is hosted in Germany, encrypts conversations and comes with a data processing agreement. It meets the transparency obligations of Article 50 of the EU AI Act, which apply from 2 August 2026. Sentiment detection works on the text of the conversation and uses no biometric data.

What counts as a session?

A session is one advice conversation between a visitor and Mondi.

Do I need a shop system?

No. recommondo also learns from websites, documents and PDFs. With Shopware, Magento or Shopify you also get cart functions such as add to cart and upsells.

How do I install recommondo?

With a script tag, via Google Tag Manager or with the ready-made module for Shopware, Magento or Shopify.

Can I use recommondo in a protected B2B area?

Yes. Mondi then only advises logged-in customers and can use customer prices and stock from your ERP via an API.

What happens if Mondi can't help?
